Hardwood ensemble

Our cutting board made of end-grain wood, obtained from the region's most robust hardwoods, beech, oak and robinia, relies on the power of nature. The tannins contained in oak and locust wood not only provide natural resistance to bacteria, but also provide antimicrobial properties that ensure a hygienic kitchen environment. Look forward to a cutting board that is not only beautiful to look at, but also a healthy choice for your kitchen.

The special structure of the end grain makes this cutting board an excellent choice for your kitchen needs. The fine fibers prevent bacteria from penetrating and ensure a long service life. In addition, end grain is particularly gentle on your knives as it absorbs cuts efficiently. With our cutting board made of end-grain wood, you not only rely on naturalness, but also on health and longevity in your kitchen.

  • Why Waldbart

    Our principles

    Natural fabrics

Wood is Waldbart's No.1 material; it is natural, healthy, renewable and permanently stores bound CO2. That’s why we consciously choose our favorite material for our products. We consistently avoid unnecessary chemical substances.

    Individuality and longevity

We only produce small quantities and consciously rely on individual products of high quality. This increases longevity and is good for all of us

    Upcycling

We use what is left as best we can, and what was intended for bulky waste is given a new purpose if possible. Waldbart always strives to produce as little waste as possible and to reuse leftovers.

    Renewable Energies

We work exclusively with electricity from renewable energies.

    Short distances & Regionality

Our wood comes from local forests in the region. As a forester, founder Denny attaches particular importance to the origin of the materials used. Only wood from certified sustainable forestry is used. Waldbart avoids unnecessarily long transport routes. If other trades or services are used, we do so in the immediate vicinity.

    No tropical wood, no overexploitation

Sure, tropical woods are highly aesthetic and have very impressive properties, but their origin is often difficult to trace. As a matter of principle, Waldbart does not use tropical woods.

    Repair what you can

Maintaining and repairing things is not only fun, but also good for the environment. We always strive to come first  Carry out repairs if possible.

    Social fairness

Sustainability also means social compatibility. For this reason, Waldbart uses his income to support an orphanage in Kenya, the Mama Paulina Academy in Migori, not far from Lake Victoria.
